These abstract paintings were born out of a rigorous study of color theory. They pull together elements of theory that inspired the Impressionists and later became the points of experimentation of the Post Impressionists. This work finds its intellectual roots in the writings of Joseph Albers, Odilon Redon, and Vincent VanGogh.
