Star of Bethlehem 2

"Star of Bethlehem.  Grows quietly from bulbs, dots the Holy Land with white, with color.  Grows irrespective of maps, fences, boundary lines.  Sometimes they say the petals are eaten by the poor, and we— are all poor, when it comes to the real things like solving wars and trying to keep from dying.  A flower baked into bread, that flower which reminds us of an ancient star— and a promise."
